Five sub-areas and the roads that frame them
Al Twar is a mainly residential district with five sub-areas, Al Twar 1 to 5. Dubai Airport lies to the south, Al Qusais to the north, Hor Al Anz to the west and Muhaisnah to the east. Al Nahda Road (D93) forms the northern boundary and Abu Hail Road (D91) the southern one, and Dubai Police headquarters is the best-known landmark inside it.
The airport is close, but that does not make Al Twar a pickup point for arrivals. If you land at the airport and want a car, ask for an airport handover as a separate request; the schedule of charges lists airport pickup and return separately.

Most Al Twar households end up on a monthly rental, where economy, standard and SUV classes include 2,500 km under the published terms. A 25 km daily loop over 26 days is about 650 km, so family use rarely strains the allowance. Short gaps fit a weekly rental, which includes 1,400 km for the same classes.
Handover at a villa or building
Streets inside the sub-areas can look alike, and a map pin sometimes lands on the next lane. Send the villa or building number, the sub-area, the gate or entrance and a phone number the driver can reach. The terms list delivery and collection charges separately, so the quote shows what yours will be; whether the exact street is covered is confirmed there rather than assumed.
When the rental ends, ask for collection early. A collection request in Dubai needs at least four hours’ notice under the terms.
Planning a school-term rental
A school term runs for months, so settle three things before you sign: the exact start and end dates, the number of drivers and a car size that fits your driveway. Term-time mornings are the busiest on residential roads, and a car that arrives late costs a school day. Ask for a handover the day before term begins so you can check the car, set the seats and learn the route without hurrying.
If your plans might change, say so. A monthly rental that may extend or end early should have the extension process and return terms written into the quote, because the cost of changing later depends on the plan, not on goodwill.
A car that fits family life
A crossover is a good middle choice for a family of four, with more room than a small sedan and easier parking than a large SUV. Look at the model’s card for boot size, then add child seats to your request; they carry a charge listed in the schedule. At handover, fit the child seat, fold the rear seats and load the stroller before you drive away. Ask for the premium or luxury mileage schedule if you are considering one; it differs from the economy, standard and SUV allowance.

Rules to know before you collect
You must be 21 or older to rent. A driver aged 21 to 24 counts as a young driver, which means approval first and an additional charge. Only named drivers may drive, and each needs a licence recognised in the UAE. Tolls and Salik are billed at cost plus an administration fee, and the car should return with roughly the fuel it left with. A delay of up to 60 minutes at return is forgiven subject to approval, and more than two hours may be charged as a full day.
Fines, damage and extra kilometres can be deducted from the deposit, and the terms return the balance within 21 calendar days.
