Economy Car Rental in Dubai: Daily, Weekly & Monthly Rates

UAE residents need a valid UAE driving licence and their Emirates ID. Visitors need a passport, visa or entry documentation where required, and a driving licence legally recognised in the UAE; whether you also need an International Driving Permit depends on the country that issued your licence. Quick Lease may request further documents to verify eligibility before the car is released.

Economy car rental currently starts from AED 69 a day, AED 449 a week and AED 1,499 a month, excluding VAT, on the Nissan Sunny, Mitsubishi Attrage and Kia Pegas. Weekly and monthly rates work out cheaper per day than the daily rate, and live prices on each vehicle card apply because promotions change them. Tolls, fines, fuel, excess mileage and additional drivers are charged separately.

A security deposit or pre-authorisation may be required before the car is released. The amount depends on the vehicle category, rental package and customer profile, and is communicated before or during booking. It can be used to cover fines, Salik or toll charges, damage, excess mileage or fuel charges, and the balance is refunded within 21 calendar days of the car being returned. Insurance cover, exclusions and excess depend on the car and rental package and are stated in your rental agreement. Some economy cars also show a No Deposit Option on the vehicle card.

Standard packages for Economy, Standard and SUV cars include 200 km a day, 1,400 km a week or 2,500 km a month, with excess mileage at AED 0.50 per km. Unlimited mileage is a paid option (AED 20 daily, AED 100 weekly) and monthly upgrades to 3,500, 4,500 or 5,500 km cost AED 100, AED 200 and AED 300. Salik, Darb and other tolls are charged at the actual government charge plus any disclosed administration fee, and the car should be returned with approximately the same fuel level as at collection.

Delivery and collection can be arranged on request. Allow at least four hours’ notice in Dubai and 24 hours in other emirates, subject to location, vehicle availability and operating hours. Any delivery fee is confirmed before you book. Delivery and collection are free on monthly rentals of 30 days or more and on promotional rentals in Dubai. You can drive anywhere within the UAE, including between emirates. Taking the car outside the UAE is not permitted unless Quick Lease authorises it in writing with the right insurance and permits.

If you cancel more than 48 hours before pickup, no cancellation charge applies. Between 24 and 48 hours before pickup the charge is AED 100, and cancelling within 24 hours or not showing up is charged at one rental day. Eligible refunds go back to the original payment method after charges are deducted and can take up to 7 working days. Promotional, prepaid, monthly or long-term bookings can carry different terms, which your booking confirmation states.

Choose by passengers, luggage and budget. The Nissan Sunny, Mitsubishi Attrage and Kia Pegas are the lowest-priced economy sedans, the Kia Picanto is a compact hatchback that suits tight city parking, and the Nissan Sunny is a five-seater with an automatic gearbox and a 490-litre boot. Seats, bags and boot space are listed on each vehicle page. For more room, compare our midsize, crossover or SUV categories.
