Here’s everything you need to know about canceling your car rental booking with us.
Cancellation Before Pickup and Refund Guidelines
In most cases, you are eligible for a refund if you cancel before the scheduled pickup time. However, depending on the timing of your cancellation, certain charges may apply:
- If you cancel more than 24 hours before your scheduled pickup, a cancellation fee of $50 USD will be deducted from your refund.
- If you cancel less than 24 hours before your scheduled pickup, a higher cancellation fee of $150 USD will apply.
The money remaining after the deduction of the fee will be returned to your original account within 7 working days.
Canceling your reservation as soon as possible will lessen the fees involved and make the refund procedure smoother.
What Happens If You Cancel Late or Don’t Show Up
If you cancel after your rental period is scheduled to begin or fail to show up to collect the vehicle, you will not be eligible for a refund.
This also applies in the case of a "no-show", which includes:
Common No-Show Scenarios
- Not arriving at the rental location at the confirmed pickup time.
- Failing to present valid documentation (e.g., driver’s license, ID, credit card).
- Not meeting the rental company’s eligibility criteria.
- The main driver not providing a credit card with sufficient funds for the deposit.
To avoid charges, always double-check your documents and arrive on time.
After Collecting the Rental Vehicle
If you have picked up your rental car, all changes, including returning it early, should be discussed directly with the office mentioned in your agreement. There will be information about how to get in contact with them in your rental papers.
Please note: early vehicle returns do not typically qualify for a refund, as rental fees are based on the full reserved duration.
Modifying or Rebooking Your Reservation
If you have not collected your car and still wish to change the time, date, location, or type, you could have to cancel your booking and make a new one. New bookings can have different prices and availability compared to those in your first reservation.
