Arjan’s position and its roads

Arjan is part of the Dubailand master community, between Al Barsha South and Motor City, with Jumeirah Village Circle as another neighbour. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road (E311) and Umm Suqeim Street (D63) meet inside it, which is why the highways are never far. Dubai Miracle Garden and Dubai Butterfly Garden are close, and My City Centre Al Barsha is a short drive away.

Housing is mainly low to mid-rise apartments, from studios to three bedrooms, with a few commercial towers and retail units. Public transport is limited. RTA buses stop at several towers, and area guides put Dubai Internet City Metro station about a twelve-minute drive away, so most residents rely on a car or a taxi.

The bay problem, and what to ask first

Area guides say an apartment usually has one allocated parking space, with street parking nearby. That has a consequence for renters: if your household already owns a car, a second one may have nowhere to sleep. Ask your building management whether a visitor bay or an extra permit is available, and put the answer in your request. Parking at your building is controlled by the building, not by Quick Lease, so settle it before the handover.

If the answer is no, a monthly rental is still possible, but the plan should change. Some residents rent a smaller car that fits the one bay they have and leave their own car with a friend, and others choose a weekly plan so the second car is on the street for as short a time as possible. Neither option suits everyone, and the right one depends on your building’s permit rules and on how many nights the car will actually be parked outside.

Monthly for the commute, weekly for the gaps

Most Arjan residents who rent end up on a monthly car rental, where economy, standard and SUV classes include 2,500 km a month under the published terms. A 50 km round trip over 24 working days is 1,200 km, which leaves plenty for weekends. A weekly car rental suits a short gap and includes 1,400 km for those same classes.

A car that fits an apartment bay

A small economy car fits a standard bay, burns less fuel on a daily highway commute and is easier to park on a crowded street. If you carry a family, check the model’s seats and boot on its card first. The economy, standard and SUV allowance does not carry over to premium and luxury cars, which have their own schedule; request it first.

Rules to read before you collect

You must be 21 or older to rent. Anyone between 21 and 24 is a young driver under the terms, so approval and an extra charge come into it. List every driver in the agreement; each must hold a licence that is recognised in the UAE. Salik and toll charges come through at cost with an administration fee added, and the tank should be returned at roughly the collection level. The terms waive a late-return charge for delays up to 60 minutes, subject to approval, and allow one full day to be charged after two hours.

Under the terms, the deposit stands against fines, damage and extra kilometres, and what is left is returned within 21 calendar days.
