Al Mina Road and the places around it
Al Mina Road runs through a compact part of Dubai where hotels and apartment blocks sit close together. Hotel listings put Al Hudaiba Park about a nine-minute walk away, Zabeel Park and the Mina Rashid Yacht Club a couple of minutes by car, and Jumeirah Beach Road within walking distance of the same hotel. You can reach plenty on foot, which is why a rental here is rarely about the first kilometre.
It is about the second and third stop. A client meeting inland, a family lunch at the beach, a late return from the airport or a week of site visits is where a car replaces a string of taxi fares.

Short stays fit a daily rental well, because you pay for the days you drive and nothing else. Residents who need a car for several months are better off with a monthly plan, where the 2,500 km included for economy, standard and SUV classes under the published terms usually covers a daily commute plus weekends.
Handover at a hotel entrance
Hotels differ on where a delivery driver may stop. Send the hotel name, the entrance for arrivals, a reception contact and a phone number, and ask the hotel whether a rental car can wait at the door. The terms list delivery and collection charges separately, so the quote shows the amount for your address; coverage of the exact hotel is confirmed there rather than assumed.
When the stay ends, tell us early if you want the car collected. The terms ask for at least four hours’ notice for a collection request in Dubai. A car you return yourself needs a fixed time and place instead.
Picking the car
A small economy car suits one or two people moving between hotels and meetings and is easy to park near older streets. Families with luggage should check the model’s boot and seating on its card before they pick a category. Premium and luxury cars follow a different mileage schedule from economy, standard and SUV classes, so ask for it before comparing prices.
Residents who expect to need a car for years rather than months can look at a personal lease, which is a different contract with its own eligibility and terms.
Planning the trips you actually make
List the three journeys you expect before you choose a plan. A morning meeting inland, an evening at the beach and an airport run each meet traffic at a different hour, and a car that suits one may feel wrong for another. Leave a margin before anything you cannot miss, such as a flight or an appointment, because the main roads fill quickly at peak times. If you are unsure how far you will drive, ask the quote to show your daily or weekly kilometres next to the cost of extra distance.
Tolls add up on cross-city routes. Salik gates are charged as you pass, so a daily round trip to a business district can cost more in tolls than you expect. The terms bill the actual amount plus an administration fee, so put that into your budget from the start.
Rules to read before you collect
You must be 21 or older to rent, and drivers from 21 to under 25 may be accepted as young drivers subject to approval and an extra charge. Everyone who drives must be named in the agreement and hold a licence recognised in the UAE. Tolls and Salik are charged at cost plus an administration fee, and the car should come back with about the fuel it left with. Late returns are forgiven for up to 60 minutes, subject to approval, but more than two hours can cost a full day. The car stays inside the UAE unless Quick Lease approves otherwise in writing.
The deposit can cover damage, fines or extra kilometres, and the terms refund the balance within 21 calendar days of return. Walk around the car at handover, photograph the fuel and kilometre readings and keep your copy of the agreement.
