Dubai Airport Terminal 3 Car Rental: Plan the Handover Before You Land

Quick Lease rents cars by the day, week and month. This page explains how to line up a Terminal 3 arrival with a rental, what to ask for in writing and what the published terms say before you pay.
Terminal 3 in brief
Terminal 3 is part of Dubai International Airport in Al Garhoud, and Emirates is its main airline. flydubai has also flown selected routes from it since December 2018, so confirm the terminal on your own itinerary instead of assuming. The Dubai Metro Red Line has a station at Terminal 3, and RTA buses and taxis serve it too. Terminal 1 shares an airside transit area with it, while Terminal 2 sits on the opposite side of the airport.
Metro, taxi or a rental car
If your plans are a hotel and meetings beside a Metro line, the train from Terminal 3 may cost less than a car. A rental earns its place when you carry a lot, travel as a group, need to reach several districts in a day or arrive when you cannot rely on public transport. Decide that before booking, not at the carousel.
Settling the handover before you land
The Quick Lease website says delivery, collection and airport pickup are offered subject to location, timing and vehicle availability. It does not promise a fixed point inside Terminal 3, and neither does this page. Send your flight number, arrival date, the terminal on your ticket and a phone number that will be answered, then ask for the handover point, the person to call and the charge in writing. The schedule of charges lists airport pickup and airport return separately, so the quote should show them.
Flights move. Ask what happens if you land two hours late, who to call and how long the car is held, and keep the reply with your booking. A collection request at the end of the rental needs at least four hours of notice in Dubai under the terms.
Matching the plan to the arrival
| Arrival situation | Plan to price | Ask the quote to state |
|---|---|---|
| Family landing with four suitcases and a child seat | Weekly | Seats, boot space and the child seat charge |
| Business traveller with a week of meetings | Weekly | Included kilometres and the return point |
| Professional relocating, no car yet | Monthly | Deposit, kilometres and how an extension works |
| Stopover guest with one night in Dubai | Daily | Handover time and the late-return rule |
A seven-day rental includes 1,400 km for economy, standard and SUV classes under the published terms, and a monthly rental includes 2,500 km. Premium and luxury cars follow a separate schedule, so ask to see it before you compare prices. Extra kilometres are charged at the rate in the schedule.
Choosing the car for bags and passengers
Category names do not promise boot space, so read each card for seats and bags. A family SUV is the usual answer for four or more travellers with large cases, while a smaller car saves fuel for one or two people. Child seats are an extra in the schedule and should be named in your request. Companies sending staff on longer programmes can read about corporate leasing, a separate contract with its own terms.
Rules to read before you collect
Renters must be 21 or older. A young driver, in the terms, is aged 21 to under 25 and needs approval plus an extra charge. Every driver must hold a licence recognised in the UAE and be named in the agreement, and visitors should ask the quote whether their licence needs an International Driving Permit. Fuel should come back at about the level it left at. Salik and other tolls are billed at cost plus an administration fee, and the deposit balance is refunded within 21 calendar days of return. Driving outside the UAE needs Quick Lease approval in writing. Keep your passport, entry documents, licence and booking confirmation in hand luggage, since the quote lists what each driver must show.
Returning the car after your stay
Plan the return as carefully as the arrival. Departure roads fill at peak hours, so leave a margin before check-in. A return up to 60 minutes late is forgiven subject to approval, and past two hours a full rental day may be added. Ask where the return takes place and whether it matches the handover point, because one-way arrangements are agreed case by case. Confirm this in the written quote or rental agreement.
If your ticket shows Terminal 1, the Terminal 1 car rental page covers that handover. Guests staying near the airport can also look at car hire in Al Garhoud. The wider range of plans is on the Quick Lease rental site.
