Toyota launches first battery-electric car in UAE: bZ4X Touring at AED 184,900

The Touring is sold in a single VXR all-wheel-drive trim with two electric motors producing a combined 375hp. Toyota quotes 0-100km/h in 4.5 seconds, a 74.7kWh battery and a claimed WLTP range of up to 480km. Charging is up to 22kW on AC and 150kW on DC, and the boot holds 603 litres.

Equipment includes a 14-inch central touchscreen, a JBL audio system, Toyota Safety Sense and a Subaru-developed X-MODE system with selectable driving modes, according to Zigwheels.

Context

DubiCars notes that Al-Futtaim's partnership with Toyota dates back to 1955, and that this is the first pure electric Toyota it has offered in the UAE. It arrives days after Lexus, also under Al-Futtaim, launched the RZ 500e and ES 500e.
