Yoga is the best way to train your body anytime, whether you are at home or driving on the road. Apart from the complex Yoga poses, few yoga poses can be easily performed sitting in your car seat. Here are four yoga poses you can do:
Sitting for long in a single pose can create soreness in your inner thighs and hip area. This yoga asana, known as Padmasana, can help relax these muscles and make your legs more flexible. Sit straight and slowly put your right foot over your left leg thigh, close to your groin. Then slowly bring your left foot upward and place it over your right thighs. While in this position, take around eight to ten long breaths and stay calm. Although this pose might seem a little difficult at first, you can start with one leg at a time.
Long office hours and bad chairs at your workplace may often cause a lot of stress in the neck area. This can even get worse if you drive for some more time. To loosen up tension in the neck, gently roll the head sideways multiple times. Sit straight in the car seat and move your head forward and backwards as your chin touches your chest in forward motion. Then tilt your head towards the right to touch your right ear on the right shoulder and repeat the same on the left side.
In this pose, start by placing your feet intact on the car foot space. Now try to reach the floor with your hand and bend forward with your back straight. Drop your head down when you touch the floor to give your neck a nice stretch. If you have a car with limited space in front of the seat, try stretch on the dash placing your head and arms on it.
Your shoulders may get tightened due to a daylong typing on the computer or laptops. Give your shoulder some stretches in your Toyota rental car. Sit straight and lean forward a bit. Hold your seat behind by stretching the arms backwards and lean more in the forward direction. In this position, you will also feel a stretch in your chest.
